Finger-jointed battens

For high-quality floor, wall and ceiling structures, value should be placed on the use of qualitatively immaculate material for the substructures.

In practice, however, substructures are frequently constructed from sawn slats, which tend to twist and distort. The result for the craftsman is damage which is expensive to remedy and aggravation from complaints.

Finger-jointed battens from Mosser are manufactured using carefully dried timber. Imperfections in the raw material, which could affect the functionality of the product, are eliminated and the pieces are put together with finger-joints. The resulting battens, manufactured and planed to exact measurements using this complex method, offer optimal conditions for every type of substructure.

Twisting or shrinking of the substructure and all associated problems are finally over and done with.
